The Scout’s panel of experts discuss their chip strategies for the final nine Gameweeks of 2020/21 Fantasy Premier League.
What the experts say
Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
I am going to play my second Wildcard chip ahead of Gameweek 31 to prepare for the run-in, allowing me to target the fixture-swing sides as well as those with something to play for until the end of the season.
I will play the Bench Boost chip either in Gameweek 30, depending on what happens over the international break, or I will hold it for another smaller Double Gameweek closer to the end of the season.
Ben Crabtree (@FC_CrabDogg)
I have the Triple Captain chip left and may possibly play it on Kevin De Bruyne (£11.9m) against Leeds United in Gameweek 31 or against Newcastle United in Gameweek 36.
If Tottenham Hotspur are given a Double Gameweek when their outstanding match is rescheduled, Harry Kane (£11.6m) will also be a contender.
Pranil Sheth (@Lateriser12)
I have the Free Hit and Triple Captain chips left. At the moment I'm looking to use the Free Hit in Gameweek 33 or wait for a future Blank or Double Gameweek.
If I don't get the opportunity, it will be a Gameweek 38 Free Hit chip. For the Triple Captaincy, I'm still waiting for the pending Doubles to be scheduled.
Ben McNair (@drbenmcnair)
I only have the Triple Captain chip remaining now. I would like to play it in a Double Gameweek and will try to keep Kane, as he could be a good option when Spurs' fixture against Southampton is rescheduled.
Chuck Booth (@ChuckBoothSport)
I still have my second Wildcard and my Bench Boost left. I'll likely Wildcard in Gameweek 31 but I'm not sure when I'll Bench Boost, as targeting Double Gameweeks usually blows up in my face!
Based on my rotation tracker, Gameweek 34 is the best one to aim for.
