The opportunity for Harry Kane (£11.7m) to overtake another Premier League icon makes him a top captain pick for Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 31.
Kane can move up to seventh in the all-time goalscoring charts with a goal against Manchester United on Sunday, and statistician Duncan Alexander believes FPL managers can take advantage of the Tottenham Hotspur striker's desire for goals.
"He tends to go on runs and he's particularly good in April and May. He scores a lot of goals late on [in the season]," says Opta's Alexander on the latest FPL Show.
"He's got his eyes set on Alan Shearer's 260 goals and each week he ticks off another Premier League legend. If he scores against United he'll go level with Robbie Fowler. He's a safe pick."

But Fantasy expert Gianni Buttice believes now is the time to take a risk with your captain's armband.
With few standout fixtures for the top captaincy contenders, he is instead considering Marcos Alonso (£5.7m) at Crystal Palace or Diogo Jota (£6.9m) against Aston Villa.
"This is the week to go differential," he counters. "Palace don't score many, the [Chelsea] clean sheet is safe and Alonso gets forward for fun.
"I think he plays because [Ben] Chilwell played against Porto. But if I take a hit for Jota, that could sway me."
Remember, the Gameweek 31 deadline is today at 18:30 BST.
