Four men were nominated for May's Barclays Manager of the Month award.

Mikel Arteta, Marcelo Bielsa, Jurgen Klopp and David Moyes were shortlisted for the monthly accolade following impressive runs of results in the final month of the 2020/21 campaign, and fans have had a say on the winner. 

The public vote was combined with those of a panel of football experts to decide who won the award.

May's Barclays Manager shortlist

Mikel Arteta (ARS)

The Spaniard guided his side to an unbeaten month, which included London derby victories over Crystal Palace and Chelsea, as Arsenal moved up to eighth place on 61 points.

Marcelo Bielsa (LEE)
P5 W4 D0 L1 GD+8

Bielsa steered Leeds United to four victories during the month, including an impressive 3-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur, to end the season on 59 points. It is the highest tally for a promoted side since Ipswich Town's 66 in 2000/01.

Jurgen Klopp (LIV)
P5 W5 D0 L0 GD+10

Starting the month in sixth place, the German led Liverpool to a 4-2 triumph at Manchester United among five consecutive victories to make a late surge up to third position as they secured a UEFA Champions League spot.

David Moyes (WHU)
P5 W3 D1 L1 GD+5

West Ham United finished with a three-match unbeaten run as Moyes helped the club finish sixth, their best finishing position since 1998/99, and qualify for the UEFA Europa League.
