Matchweek 6 featured a battle between two Premier League heavyweights, as Manchester City narrowly came out on top against Chelsea with Gabriel Jesus' goal the difference at Stamford Bridge.

It seems the two will be sparring for position within the Premier League table all season, as they finished the day level on 13 points with City going above Chelsea into second place thanks to goal difference.

League leaders Liverpool played an early contender for match of the season against a Brentford side who refused to go away. In a six-goal thriller, the Bees found a late equaliser thanks to Yoane Wissa to steal a point against the Reds.

From West London to North London, as Arsenal made a statement in the derby as they won their third consecutive Premier League match, and better yet, it came against their bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who they beat 3-1.

Manchester United had a late chance to rescue a point against Aston Villa, when Bruno Fernandes stepped up in extra-time to take a penalty but his effort went flying over the bar as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford.

Two teams that have become familiar to battling it out for Premier League titles in recent years, again find themselves jostling for the top spot.
