Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) is the third most-sold player in Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 21 but are managers ditching the Liverpool star a week early?

Salah has a tough fixture at Chelsea this weekend and is then due to travel to the Africa Cup of Nations. Because he will miss Premier League matches more than 100,000 managers have got rid of the Egyptian this Gameweek, with his ownership falling to 64 per cent and continuing to drop.

So should his remaining owners follow suit and sell the Egyptian ahead of Saturday's 11:00 GMT deadline? Or is it wiser to keep him for one more Gameweek?

"It boils down to whether you need the funds from Salah to bring in other players," says Fantasy expert Holly Shand on the latest FPL Show.

"You look at [Harry] Kane and [Cristiano] Ronaldo, even Son [Heung-min] in midfield and maybe you’ll need the money.

"But Salah is still a good prospect for the Chelsea game. He likes a game against Chelsea; he’s got history with the club. If you’ve got him then enjoy him for one last time!"

Fellow FPL expert Gianni Buttice has already sold Salah and says anyone worried about fitting him back into their squad further down the line need only activate their second Wildcard chip.

"As soon as he’s back from AFCON I’ll be looking to get him back straight away," he adds.

"Liverpool’s fixtures are quite nice as well. You might have to take hits to do so but we also have that Wildcard. It might be around Wildcard season!"
