Liverpool have announced the signing of Colombia international Luis Diaz from Porto.
The winger will move to Liverpool on a long-term contract subject to the granting of a work permit and receiving international clearance.
“I have always been a believer in only signing players in January if you would want to sign them in the summer, and that’s very much the case with Luis," manager Jurgen Klopp told the club's official website.
“He is an outstanding player and someone we’ve been tracking for a very long time. We believe he has everything needed to fit into our way and adapt to the Premier League, both physically and mentally.
“Luis is a player we believe will make us better now and in the future. He is the player we really wanted and they’ve made it happen, so I am very happy.”

Diaz will wear the No 23 shirt and joins having scored 41 goals in 125 appearances for Porto, including 14 in 18 outings this season.
The 25-year-old won a league and cup double during his time in Portugal.
Last summer he helped Colombia reach the semi-finals of the Copa America with a joint-tournament high four goals.
He is Liverpool’s first recruit of the January transfer window and will hope to make his Premier League debut against Leicester City on Thursday 10 February.
