FPL Pod: Who are the key picks for the dream Wildcard squad?

With only eight Gameweeks left in Fantasy Premier League, every transfer is vital, and FPL expert Gianni Buttice says managers should target the clubs and players with the biggest motivation for the run-in.

In the latest episode of the FPL Show, Gianni reveals who he would pick if he were playing his Wildcard during the international break, highlighting the key picks for the rest of the season.

“I’ve looked at it and gone, ‘Who are the players who I know have got something to play for?’, so those going for European places: Arsenal, Spurs, with Chelsea still in the mix,” he says.

“Those perhaps struggling at the bottom that have still got lots to play for in Burnley, I’ve got a couple of their assets.

“I’ve also looked at who’s owed the most fixtures. Burnley, Leicester City, Arsenal and Chelsea, they’re owed more fixtures than the others, so they’ll get more Double Gameweeks.

“That’s a fairly simple strategy.”

In the video above, Gianni explains how to set up your squad if you still have the Bench Boost chip, while his fellow expert Holly Shand selects a draft Wildcard squad for players who have no chips left.
