Managers in Fantasy Premier League who are looking for an alternative to Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) for the captaincy should consider Harry Kane (£12.5m) and Son Heung-min (£10.9m).

At home to Watford in Gameweek 31, Liverpool’s Egyptian will once again be the most-selected captain in Fantasy.

Salah has averaged 11.7 points per match against the Hornets in his FPL career.

However, Kane and Son boast strong form for Tottenham Hotspur’s home encounter with Newcastle United.

Kane has amassed 51 points in his last five appearances, scoring five goals and supplying a further four assists.

Son, meanwhile, has been a huge success in home matches in 2021/22. Five of his six double-figure returns were recorded at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Manchester City pair Kevin De Bruyne (£11.7m) and Riyad Mahrez (£8.7m) offer further options away to Burnley.

De Bruyne has four goals, two assists and 56 points in his previous seven appearances.

Since joining Man City, Mahrez has averaged 9.7 points per match in his six meetings with Sean Dyche’s side.

Burnley No 1 Nick Pope (£5.4m) offers an appealing option, with the Clarets also hosting Everton in their Double Gameweek 31.

Pope has returned double-figures in two of his three Double Gameweeks in 2021/22.

Other alternatives

Elsewhere, Bukayo Saka (£6.8m) and Kai Havertz (£7.9m) both have the form and fixtures to thrive.

Arsenal’s Saka has five goals, an assist and 49 points in his last five road trips ahead of a visit to Crystal Palace, while Havertz hosts Brentford on the back of four goals, an assist and 33 points in Chelsea’s last three matches.

Finally, Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.2m) also warrants consideration for Manchester United’s home fixture against Leicester City.

Four of the Portuguese’s top five scores this term have come at Old Trafford, including his season-high haul of 17 points in his last home appearance.
