Matchweek 16 will be one last opportunity for clubs to make moves up the table before the Premier League breaks off for the FIFA World Cup 2022.
The weekend kicks-off with Brentford travelling to face Manchester City. The reigning champions narrowly scraped together a win against Fulham last Saturday, to go top but only briefly, before Arsenal took over again the following day.
Saturday’s match is another must-win for Pep Guardiola’s side if they want to keep pace with the Gunners. Meanwhile, Brentford haven’t won in their last four matches, but have managed three draws to stay in mid-table.
On Sunday, Fulham welcome Manchester United to Craven Cottage. The Cottagers currently sit in ninth, while Utd have are only three points outside the top four.
Fulham performed admirably against City last week, but will hope to avoid dropping points against their Manchester rivals.
NBC Spotlight
On Saturday, NBC will feature the match between Newcastle United and Chelsea. The Magpies have surged all the way to third in the table, thanks to the form of Miguel Almiron.
Newcastle are one of the most dangerous sides in the league right now and Chelsea will have their work cut out for them as they travel north.
The Blues are looking to bounce back from a disappointing 1-0 loss at home against Arsenal, that moved them outside of the top six.
A win on the road would be a massive way for Chelsea to regain momentum.
