As the season pauses for the FIFA World Cup 2022, The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts discuss the season so far.

What the experts say
Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)

Best decision: The best I've probably made all season is going with three premiums, I call it a "threemium" team. It means not only have I had Erling Haaland (£12.2m) and Mohamed Salah (£12.8m) most of the season, but I've also had Harry Kane (£11.6m), who I think has gone under the radar a little bit.

Biggest regret: My biggest regret so far this season has been not jumping on Newcastle United's attack. We saw the likes of Miguel Almiron (£5.8m) delivering early and for some reason, I was very slow to act on that.

Best decision: Captaining Haaland early, this was a massive benefit to my rank at the start of the season. Also backing the Arsenal players at the beginning of the season paid off massively.

Pras (@Pras_fpl)

Best decision: Undoubtedly it has been going for Kieran Trippier (£5.9m). I've had him since Gameweek 8. My other good decision was having Vicente Guaita (£4.5m) and Danny Ward (£4.1m) as my two 'keepers.

Biggest regret: Not owning Kane. He's been ever so consistent this season, only blanking three times.

Andy Park (@FPL_Sonaldo)

Best decision: Hitting the Son Heung-min (£11.6m) haul in Gameweek 8.

Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

Best decision: Going heavy in the forward line. Owning Haaland and Kane alongside Gabriel Jesus (£8.0m) for me, every Gameweek so far, has meant that I've benefitted from all the goals they have scored so far.

Biggest regret: Not owning Darwin Nunez (£9.0m) for these last three Gameweeks. When I was Wildcarding, I really wanted to bring him in, but he was flagged with an injury and didn't play that week for Liverpool. He's been really good since then, picking up an assist in the 2-1 win at Spurs and of course the brace in the 3-1 victory over Southampton in Gameweek 16.
