The Scout looks at the Fantasy Premier League potential of January signings in the 2022/23 season.
Mykhailo Mudryk (CHE) £7.0m
A kind upcoming schedule for Chelsea can help Mudryk quickly make his mark in Fantasy.
The winger arrives from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk on the back of 10 goals and nine assists across all competitions this season.
A further two goals and 11 assists in 11 league outings last term underlines his all-round potential.
Mudryk is expected to feature as an inverted winger on the left flank for Chelsea, cutting inside on to his favoured right foot.
The 22-year-old adds to a host of attacking options including Raheem Sterling (£9.7m), Mason Mount (£7.5m), Joao Felix (£7.5m) and Kai Havertz (£7.8m).
Despite that competition, his chances of earning immediate starts are boosted by the absence of Sterling and Joao Felix through injury and suspension respectively.
Appealing fixtures
Chelsea’s favourable run of opponents also lifts the prospects of Mudryk.
They face two of the bottom three clubs, West Ham United and Southampton, in the next four Gameweeks, while they also come up against Liverpool and Fulham sides, who have struggled defensively this season.
If Mudryk can nail down a starting role quickly and avoid Graham Potter’s rotation, he has the schedule to impress.
Nonetheless, with so many strong midfield options in the same price bracket, allowing Mudryk time to settle may be a wiser move.
