Adrian Clarke looks at key tactical points and players who can be decisive in Matchweek 22.
Leandro Trossard (ARS)
The forward signed from Brighton & Hove Albion has the potential to be a perfect fit for Arsenal.

Trossard is technically excellent and versatile enough to provide competition for places out wide and up front at his new club.
With seven Premier League goals this season, the 28-year-old is hopeful of making an immediate impression for the Gunners.
Competing with Martinelli
While Trossard can operate in several roles, he is arguably at his best on the left.
This means that in the short term, he is likely to challenge Gabriel Martinelli for place in the starting XI.
They both have seven goals and two assists this season, but Trossard has produced those numbers at a slightly faster rate than the Brazilian.
Both are enjoying tremendous campaigns and should push each other to deliver even more this season.

Arsenal press well under under Mikel Arteta and this will suit Trossard.
He is accustomed to closing down from the front, as this was a tactic used by Graham Potter and Roberto De Zerbi at Brighton.
Trossard scored against Chelsea this season after forcing a turnover from Thiago Silva in Brighton's 4-1 success.
And whether he is used down the middle or on the flanks, Trossard will always work hard out of possession.
Most possession won in final third 2022/23
Player | Times possession won |
---|---|
Kevin De Bruyne | 25 |
Jack Harrison | 21 |
Martin Odegaard | 21 |
Leandro Trossard | 20 |
Bruno Fernandes | 20 |
Last season, Trossard finished joint-top of the Premier League’s rankings for possession won inside the final third, regaining the ball on 34 occasions.
This season, he sits fourth in those standings, but is on target to earn even more turnovers at the halfway stage.
Two-footed threat
Trossard's left-footed hat-trick in a 3-3 draw at Anfield this season showed his versatility.
He is right-footed, but as he showed against Liverpool, Chelsea and Leicester City, he is equally clinical with his "weaker" foot.

His end product in and around the box is very reliable and he looks an extremely smart addition to Arsenal’s exciting squad.
