The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts give their thoughts on which player to captain in Double Gameweek 25 ahead of Friday's 18:30 GMT deadline.

What the experts say
Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

I'd go Bukayo Saka (£8.4m) if you have him in your team. I don't unfortunately, but I am bringing in another good option in Mohamed Salah (£12.7m). For all of Liverpool's defensive issues this season, their attacking players remain high on the radar from a goals scored and Expected Goals (xG) perspective.

Holly Shand (@HollyShand)

I'm nervous heading into the Double Gameweek with no Salah or Saka, but I do think Martin Odegaard (£7.0m) can deliver for me. It was encouraging to see him take maximum bonus points against Aston Villa with one assist as his only goal involvement. Erling Haaland (£12.2m) is the only player to get more double-digit hauls this season than him.

Ben Crabtree (@FC_CrabDogg)

Saka is the standout pick for me. He's playing well and looks a tempting choice given how leaky Leicester City have been, along with Everton's poor away form. For a Double Gameweek, he's also not as largely-owned as other great players have been this season.

Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

Saka looks like a great pick for the armband. His form has been impressive, but I am keen to look at a differential this week. Darwin Nunez (£8.7m) has registered attacking returns in the last two Gameweeks, as well as scoring in the UEFA Champions League. Darwin could be a good differential captain. I am considering handing him the armband over Saka.

Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)

I'm captaining Salah. Despite Liverpool's dip in form, their attacking data is still healthy. I like the fixtures for Liverpool, and Salah should get 180 minutes, unlike Liverpool's other attacking players.

Pras (@Pras_FPL)

Despite Salah seemingly having a bad season, his underlying stats are slightly better than Saka's. They would have been even better had Liverpool won a penalty this season. Even though Arsenal look the more fluid team and Saka looks dangerous, my head says to captain Salah.

Utkarsh Dalmia (@Zophar666)

It's a close call between Saka and Salah for the armband. If this was last season, going with Salah would be the obvious choice, but Arsenal are just functioning much better as a team at the moment. It's a 50/50 call, but Saka is marginally ahead on paper with the momentum Arsenal currently have.
