Southampton have announced that caretaker manager Ruben Selles has been given the job until the end of the season.

The Spaniard had taken over at the Premier League’s bottom club after the dismissal of Nathan Jones and oversaw a 1-0 win at Chelsea last weekend.
His first match as permanent Southampton manager is Saturday’s trip to Leeds United, the team immediately above them in the table.

Southampton then host Leicester City before facing Manchester United, Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur.
Selles joined Southampton in June last year, having previously been an assistant manager at FC Copenhagen, where he helped the Danish club win their first league title in three years and qualify for the knockout stages of the UEFA Conference League as group winners.
The 39-year-old has also worked as a youth coach at Valencia and Villarreal.
