Niang joins Watford having scored three goals in 18 league appearances this season and becomes the club's third January signing, after Tom Cleverley from Everton and Mauro Zarate from Fiorentina.
The former France Under-21 international, who will wear the No 21 shirt, will be hoping to make his Premier League debut at Arsenal on 31 January.
