It is Man Utd’s first appearance in an FA Cup final since 2018, when they lost 1-0 to Chelsea and now means they will equal Arsenal's record of 21 appearances in the final of the competition.
The result also keeps alive their hopes of a domestic cup double, having won the EFL Cup in February, their first trophy under Erik ten Hag.
Next up for Man Utd is a Premier League trip to Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday, while Brighton travel to Nottingham Forest.
