Tickets for the Premier League Summer Series, which will see six Premier League clubs taking part in a pre-season tournament in five major East Coast cities in the United States this July, are now on general sale.
This is the first time the League has hosted a pre-season tournament in the USA, giving fans the opportunity to watch a world-class line-up of Premier League players and managers in action.
Tickets are available from just US$30* at premierleague.com/summerseries.
The clubs featuring in the Premier League Summer Series are Aston Villa, Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Chelsea, Fulham and Newcastle United.
Six teams, five locations, nine matches
The six teams will compete in a total of nine matches between Saturday 22 July and Sunday 30 July at stadiums in Atlanta, GA, Harrison, NJ, Orlando, FL, Philadelphia, PA and Landover, MD.
The tournament kicks off on Saturday 22 July when Chelsea take on Brighton at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia. The same stadium will host a double-header on Sunday 23 July when Fulham play Brentford and Newcastle face Aston Villa.
On Wednesday 26 July, Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium plays host to two fixtures when Brentford play Brighton and Newcastle face Chelsea. Fulham go up against Aston Villa at Orlando’s Exploria Stadium on the same day.
"I have no doubt we will see this drama unfold with some action-packed matches during the tournament"
The action then moves to New Jersey, with Brighton taking on Newcastle at the Red Bull Arena on Friday 28 July.
The tournament concludes on Sunday 30 July at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland, with Aston Villa in action against Brentford, followed by Chelsea against west London rivals Fulham.
Fans who attend the double-headers in Philadelphia, Atlanta and Landover will be able to watch both matches with one ticket, with prices starting from only US$40*.
'This is a unique opportunity'
Former Newcastle striker Alan Shearer, the competition’s all-time leading scorer, said: “I have witnessed the passionate support of American fans for Premier League football many times on my visits to the United States.
"The Summer Series is a unique opportunity to experience first-hand the most competitive soccer league in the world.
“We are currently enjoying one of the most thrilling Premier League seasons of all-time, and I have no doubt we will see this drama unfold with some action-packed matches during the tournament.”
Growing US fanbase
The Premier League Summer Series aims to give as many fans as possible the chance to enjoy live Premier League action and is part of the League’s ongoing commitment to its US-based fans.
As well as high-profile matches and pre-season training camps, activity is planned in each host city to create a programme of community and youth soccer initiatives.
The tournament builds on the success of the eight Premier League Mornings Live fan festival events the Premier League and its broadcast partner NBC Sports have hosted in multiple US cities since 2018.
These events have seen more than 60,000 fans attend live match screenings in iconic locations, coming together to share their passion for the competition. This is in addition to the millions of viewers who watch week in, week out on television in the USA.
The Premier League’s long-standing broadcast partner NBC Sports will be the host broadcaster across the networks of NBCUniversal and Peacock for the Summer Series with the Premier League’s international licensees broadcasting the event around the world in up to 188 countries.
The Premier League has previously hosted pre-season matches via the Premier League Asia Trophy. This biennial tournament launched in 2003, with nine editions taking place in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
