West Ham v Chelsea

Match preview

1 Mar 2017
Slaven Bilic and Michail Antonio of West Ham

Andy Carroll is back in training and West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic is optimistic the striker will be fit to play.

Michail Antonio is suspended and Angelo Ogbonna (knee) and Diafra Sakho (back) are both long-term absentees.

Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard is nursing a minor knock but head coach Antonio Conte does not expect it to be a problem.

Did you know?

Chelsea have lost only two of their last 21 Premier League matches against West Ham United (W15 D4).

Andy Carroll is one away from his 50th Premier League goal, while Diego Costa is two shy of the mark.

Cesc Fabregas needs one more assist to move outright second ahead of Frank Lampard (also 102) for all-time PL assists.

Manuel Lanzini has scored seven goals in his 11 PL London derby appearances.

What the managers say

Slaven Bilic: "It will have been a good week of training for him (Carroll). That should be enough for him to be fit for the game. I'm very optimistic."

Antonio Conte: "We are putting a great foundation down for the present and above all for the future. I hope to stay, work a lot for this club and win a lot for this club."
