Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag says he does not know the extent of the injury suffered by Antony but that it looks like a "serious" problem.

Antony was taken off on a stretcher with an apparent ankle injury following a challenge from Trevoh Chalobah in Thursday's 4-1 win over Chelsea.

"I can tell you it is serious but we have to wait a minimum [of] 24 hours, then we know probably more about the status of the injury," Ten Hag revealed via the club's official website.

Luke Shaw was also taken off at half-time but Ten Hag is more hopeful about his left-back.

"We have to see," he added. "I don't think it's too bad but we have to wait 24 hours. We'll have a diagnosis and we will know more."
