Luton Town have completed the signing of Issa Kabore from Manchester City.
The right-sided defender arrives on a season-long loan from City and is Luton's fifth acquisition of the summer transfer window.
“This is a really exciting signing and a big coup for the club, so I’d like to thank everyone involved for getting it over the line,” manager Rob Edwards said on the club's website.

“We’ve had a lot of good feedback from the people we know at Manchester City, they really like him, and we think he’s someone who’s now more than ready for Premier League football; he’s had really good challenges in the top division in France so now is the right time.
“His attributes will help us. He’s an athlete and I think he’ll suit the way we want to play. He comes with a good level of experience and played 29 times in all competitions last year for a team that finished third in France, so we’re very excited.”
Kabore's career so far
Kabore joined Man City in 2020 from Belgian side KV Mechelen and was sent back on loan to them for the same season.
The 22-year-old then spent the next two seasons with clubs in France, playing for Troyes in 2021/22 and most recently Marseille in 2022/23.
In total Kabore has played 95 senior matches for the three clubs, and has been capped 28 times by Burkina Faso.
His performances in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations saw him named Best Young Player at the tournament as his side reached the semi-finals.
Kabore could feature in Luton's next pre-season friendly, against Ipswich Town on 25 July.
Luton kick off their first-ever Premier League campaign at Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday 13 August.
