The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts reveal who they believe is the best £6.5m midfielder for the 2023/24 season.
Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
Two goals in his first two matches for Aston Villa has firmly shifted my attention to Moussa Diaby (£6.5m). Unai Emery's side play attacking football and Diaby has made a real impact during pre-season. I am backing him to be the top-scoring £6.5m midfielder.
Harry Daniels (@FPL_Harry)
For me, it is Bryan Mbeumo (£6.5m). A combination of being on most set-pieces including penalties, and with a great run of opening fixtures for Brentford.
Utkarsh Dalmia (@ZopharFPL)
Brighton & Hove Albion's attacking numbers under Roberto De Zerbi were incredible last season and Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m) is one of the most nailed-on picks in their side. I think he's been underpriced.
Holly Shand (@HollyShand)
Mbeumo is my favourite. He has the fixtures and historically over-performs when Ivan Toney (£8.0m) is unavailable.
Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)
I can't see past Mitoma - and it's more because of the team he plays for. I trust Brighton to score goals and I really like their opening fixtures.

Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
Mbeumo's goalscoring responsibilities surely go up a notch now that Toney is unavailable. I'll likely start with him.
Andy Park (@FPL_Sonaldo)
Mitoma seems to be the most popular one, and for good reason. Not only is he first choice in the left-wing role for a very strong Brighton attack, but the first three fixtures are excellent.
Pras (@Pras_FPL)
It's Mbeumo for me. He has a great run of fixtures right until when I might Wildcard and his attacking data without Toney is exceptional.
Ali Jahangirov (@FPLGunz)
Mitoma is my favourite due to Brighton's great opening fixtures, as well as the high goalscoring potential of the team overall. Even when fixtures get tough, he is the kind of a player who can cause problems to any top-six defence, as we saw last season.
