Ange Postecoglou has been named the Barclays Manager of the Month for August 2023.
Postecoglou, pictured top with coaches Mile Jedinak, Rob Burch, Chris Davies, Matt Wells and Ryan Mason, has made an immediate impact since joining Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, remaining unbeaten with a 2-2 draw at Brentford and back-to-back 2-0 wins over Manchester United and AFC Bournemouth.
Just as impressive, Spurs's results have come while Postecoglou has also transformed the style of the team. Spurs rank way higher than last season in a number of attacking metrics, as seen below.

Postecoglou, the first Australian to manage in the Premier League, is only the second Australian to win a monthly award, joining Mark Schwarzer, who was the EA SPORTS Player of the Month all the way back in February 2010 with Fulham.
He beat fellow nominees Mikel Arteta, Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and David Moyes, after votes from the public were combined with those of a panel of football experts.

The 58-year-old also makes it a Spurs awards double after James Maddison was voted August's EA SPORTS Player of the Month.
"It’s a brilliant achievement for him in his first month as a Premier League manager," Maddison said. "I’m sure he’ll say it’s all about the team but he's been brilliant with all the lads."
