I was fully intending to captain Jarrod Bowen (£7.7m) this weekend given his away form so far this season, so I will be keeping tabs on David Moyes' press conference. If Bowen isn't available, I will likely captain Mohamed Salah (£13.0m). Although he has a difficult trip to Manchester City, the Egyptian hasn't blanked in his last five meetings with the reigning champions.

Man City against Liverpool could very easily be a high-scoring encounter in the same way Chelsea's last two matches versus Man City and Spurs have been, and with that in mind, I'm strongly considering Erling Haaland (£14.0m).

Salah has a good record against City, but I always like backing the home player with the armband, so it will be Haaland or Son Heung-min (£9.7m) for me. Son facing Aston Villa's high line could be lots of fun.

It's really tough to pick a captain this week. With Haaland and Salah facing off against each other, I'm tempted to stay away from that fixture altogether. If fit, Bowen should do well at Burnley, having not blanked in away matches so far this season.

This is a tricky week for captaincy. Son and Haaland are the two standouts for me. If Spurs were injury free, I'd have backed them at home, but with James Maddison (£7.9m) out, I am inclined to go for Haaland, who is still a good captain option against anyone at home.

With no great fixture for any of my better players this week, I'll default to Haaland for the armband. Bukayo Saka (£8.7m) is tempting, but I've been punished multiple times betting against Haaland.
