Managers in Fantasy Premier League who had planned to sell Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) or Son Heung-min (£9.9m) in Gameweek 20 should retain them for another match due to Erling Haaland’s (£13.9m) foot injury.
Both Salah and Son are set to participate in international tournaments next month and could miss Gameweeks 21-24, depending on their respective nations’ progress.
Many managers had looked to move out one of them in order to bring back Haaland for Manchester City’s home encounter with Sheffield United this weekend.
However, Pep Guardiola has confirmed the Norwegian is unlikely to face the Blades on Saturday.
That allows managers to keep Liverpool's Salah and Tottenham Hotspur's Son for their home matches with Newcastle United and AFC Bournemouth respectively.
By banking a free transfer in Gameweek 20, managers can then address Salah and Son’s departures with their two free transfers in Gameweek 21, while also awaiting further news on Haaland’s return.
