As Premier League football returns on Friday 12 January, Fantasy Premier League managers are being given a second chance at success with a global league.
The "Second Chance league" will begin in Gameweek 21, with all FPL managers - whether you are already playing or new to the game – automatically added to the new league and starting with zero points.

This is to help ensure that FPL continues to offer opportunities for both existing and new managers – whether you are already streaks ahead, far behind, or not yet off the starting line.
New managers creating a squad will have unlimited transfers, while existing managers can use their second Wildcard to select a fresh 15-man squad.
This may be particularly useful for managers who haven't made a change to their team for a while but want to get back into the game to challenge for prizes or start a new mini-league with family and friends.
If you haven’t played Fantasy before, read our FPL Basics series to learn how to play, and don’t forget to sign up for FPL email and push notifications to benefit from tips for your team selection each week.

Prizes
Like the "Overall" global league, Second Chance will reward the top five managers at the end of the season with prizes, including hospitality tickets to a 2024/25 Premier League match, along with travel and accommodation, a Bluetooth speaker, an FPL goody bag, and more!
Exclusive to Second Chance is also a prize for the manager who achieves the single highest Gameweek score without using a chip between Gameweeks 21-38.
The winner of this prize will have the choice of a games console or a tablet computer.
New mini-leagues
As well as the Second Chance league, don't forget you can also create your own new mini-league that starts from Gameweek 21 so those duels with family, friends and/or colleagues can either begin afresh or new rivalries can be built.
It's easy for FPL admins to create their own mini-leagues that start from 13 January.
