Interest in Luton Town’s key players looks set to rise in Fantasy Premier League after their previously-abandoned match with AFC Bournemouth was rescheduled on Wednesday afternoon.
The fixture will now take place on Wednesday 13 March, which gives both clubs a Double Gameweek 28.
Luton visit Crystal Palace before travelling to Bournemouth, who have a home match with Sheffield United beforehand.
The announcement means the Hatters now have two Double Gameweeks on the horizon, with Rob Edwards’ side also playing twice in Double Gameweek 25.
Although they have a Blank Gameweek 26, the low cost of Luton’s key players makes them an easy option to bench.
Encouragingly for Fantasy managers, they offer in-form options across all outfield positions.
Striker Elijah Adebayo (£4.9m) has been Luton's top performer since returning to the starting XI in Gameweek 15. He has scored seven goals in the subsequent eight matches to claim 48 points, placing him second among all forwards in Fantasy.
Wing-back Alfie Doughty (£4.6m) is the top-scoring defender in Fantasy in that period on 47 points. His delivery from the left has helped him claim six assists in this run, in addition to one goal, two clean sheets and six bonus points.
Meanwhile, deep-lying midfielder Ross Barkley (£4.9m) has delivered 44 points in that run, thanks to three goals and three assists.
A chance for Solanke to get back to his best
Bournemouth’s two home matches give Dominic Solanke (£7.1m) the chance to get back to his best after a run of just one goal in the last four Gameweeks.
Indeed, Solanke is the most-sold forward in the Gameweek and third overall, moved on by 180,000+ managers.
But Bournemouth’s upcoming schedule suggests he will be a hugely popular pick after Blank Gameweek 26 has passed.
The Cherries visit Burnley in Gameweek 27 which means, combined with their Double Gameweek 28, Solanke is set to face all three promoted clubs in that period.
