With SEVEN teams playing TWICE in Double Gameweek 34 (DGW34), a host of Fantasy Premier League managers will be using their Free Hit chip to maximise their points.
FPL expert Holly Shand is among those using her Free Hit and picking a brand new squad solely for this round of matches. Here, she reveals her current line-up and explains her choices.
Substitutes: Jose Sa (£5.0m), Jean-Philippe Mateta (£5.0m), Vitalii Mykolenko (£4.6m), Rayan Ait-Nouri (£4.8m)
*Please note that Holly picked her team on Tuesday 16 April, before Matheus Cunha was ruled out of Wolves' match at home to Arsenal.
Jordan Pickford (Everton) £4.7m
The Everton goalkeeper is joint-second behind Arsenal's David Raya (£5.1m) for clean sheets this season, with nine. He has plenty of routes to points, given his ability to pick up save points and do well in the Bonus Points System.
Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) £8.4m
He is an enticing option for DGW34 after returning from injury last time out. Alexander-Arnold's average of 5.3 points per start is more than any other regular starting defender this season. Furthermore, he has produced seven goal involvements in only 22 appearances.
Gabriel (Arsenal) £5.4m
Arsenal's centre-back is the most secure way into the Gunners defence, who have kept 14 clean sheets this season. With their full-backs at risk of being rotated, Gabriel is a safe option to pick. He also sits top for big chances on goal among defenders this season, with seven.
Tyrick Mitchell (Crystal Palace) £4.5m
Crystal Palace's left-back has been a reliable figure in their squad this season, contributing to seven clean sheets so far. His assist against Liverpool on Sunday took him to four goal involvements for this campaign.
Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) £13.5m
The first name in my Free Hit squad. Salah has to be included, having produced 26 goal involvements so far this season, the second-most of any midfielder. He sits top for shots and second for big chances, with 23 and six respectively, since the international break and is due a major points haul.
Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) £9.0m
Another essential player is Arsenal's talisman, who has a big involvement in their set-pieces and takes penalties. He's the second top-performing midfielder in the game so far this season and he produced attacking returns against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Chelsea in the reverse fixtures, scoring and suppling an assist respectively.
Luis Diaz (Liverpool) £7.7m
Rotation is expected in Liverpool's attack now that Diogo Jota (£7.9m) is fully fit, which could take minutes away from Darwin Nunez (£7.7m). This leaves Diaz as the most assured starter on the left wing. He's produced the most returns of all their attacking players since the international break, with three.
Kai Havertz (Arsenal) £7.4m
Given his form in 2024, with five goals and six assists in 12 games, Havertz is the second player I'd add from Arsenal's attack. The Gunners have scored a leading 38 goals this calendar year, seven more than their title rivals Manchester City.
Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace) £6.0m
After producing a 10-point haul against Liverpool on Sunday, Palace's playmaker can continue his fine form with a pair of home matches against West Ham United and Newcastle United. He has three goal involvements in six matches since returning from injury.
Dominic Solanke (AFC Bournemouth) £7.2m
AFC Bournemouth's leading scorer feels like a must-own on a Free Hit as he sits just three goals behind Erling Haaland (£14.3m) in the race for the Golden Boot, having scored 17 times this season. He also enjoyed playing against his DGW34 opponents in the reverse fixtures, scoring against both Wolves and Aston Villa.
Matheus Cunha (Wolves) £5.6m
Now back from injury, Wolves' top scorer Cunha scored a brace last time out against Nottingham Forest, taking him up to 11 goals for the season. Two of those goals came in the reverse fixtures against his upcoming opponents, Bournemouth and Arsenal.
Substitutes
Jose Sa (Wolves) £5.0m
Wolves goalkeeper Sa has kept four clean sheets this season and has conceded just seven goals in his last four appearances since the international break. He even produced an assist in the draw against Nott'm Forest last time out.
Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace) £5.0m
Mateta is in a purple patch, with three goals in his last six matches. This upturn in form has coincided with the arrival of new head coach Oliver Glasner.
Vitalii Mykolenko (Everton) £4.6m
Mykolenko is Everton's top-scoring defender in FPL this season. He has produced three goal involvements this campaign alongside eight clean sheets.
Rayan Ait-Nouri (Wolves) £4.8m
Ait-Nouri has been hot property in Fantasy and would have made my starting XI if injury hadn't meant he missed the draw with Nott'm Forest last time out. He has huge potential, with five goal involvements in his last 10 matches.
