In the 21-year-old's first Premier League season, his ability as an inverted full-back enabled Ange Postecoglou's side to get off to a flying start to the season. Udogie also shone in his defensive duties, with his absence sorely felt over the final month of the campaign after his season was ended due to a thigh injury.
