A total of 55 Premier League stars have their sights set on taking another step closer to EURO 2024 glory when the competition reaches its quarter-final stage this weekend.

Of those, 24 are representing England, giving the Three Lions the biggest share.

But all eight of the remaining teams have Premier League representation - and club-mates will become international foes when they face each other looking to book a place in the last four.

On Friday, Arsenal's Kai Havertz, who netted a penalty in Germany's 2-0 knockout win over Denmark, faces a Spain squad featuring his club team-mate David Raya.

Chelsea and Spain defender Marc Cucurella is set to face players from his former club Brighton & Hove Albion, who have Pascal Gross and Deniz Undav in Germany's squad.

Later that day, Liverpool duo Ibrahima Konate and Diogo Jota go head-to-head as France face a Portugal side who squeezed through to the quarter-finals with a dramatic penalty shoot-out win against Slovenia.

On Saturday, England play Switzerland so John Stones and Kyle Walker will be up against a fellow Manchester City defender, Manuel Akanji. Newcastle United's Kieran Trippier and Fabian Schar will also be on opposite sides.

In a further twist, Akanji and Schar may even find themselves directly up against forwards Phil Foden and Anthony Gordon, their club-mates at the Etihad Stadium and St James' Park respectively.

In the last of the quarter-finals, EURO 2024's top scorer Cody Gakpo - one of three Liverpool players in the Netherlands squad - will be looking to add to his three goals in the tournament when they play Turkey.

Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir is in the Turkey squad but has been benched for the last two matches after starting the 3-0 defeat to Portugal. Mert Gunok now appears to be the No 1.
