Updates for season 2024/2025

9 Sep 2024
Added time

This season a more accurate calculation of additional time will come into effect

The 2024/2025 Premier League season will kickoff with new laws in place to increase the effectiveness of the game.

In association with International Football Association Board (IFAB) guidance to enhance effective playing time, additional time will undergo changes, referees will exercise allowance in each half for all playing time lost.

This will usually extend to, substitutions, assessment and/or removal of injured players, wasting time, disciplinary sanctions, medical stoppages permitted by competition rules, delays relating to VAR checks and goal celebrations.
