The Scout is tipping five players for big success in Gameweek 3 of 2024/25 Fantasy Premier League ahead of Saturday's 11:00 BST deadline

Kai Havertz (Arsenal) £8.1m

The Arsenal forward's home form looks ominous for his weekend opponents Brighton & Hove Albion.

Havertz has four goals, two assists and no blanks in his last four appearances at Emirates Stadium, tallying 37 points.

The underlying numbers highlight his huge goal threat, with the German producing 20 shots from inside the box across those encounters.

Havertz’s goal and assist against Wolverhampton Wanderers in Gameweek 1 also highlights his all-round influence on the Gunners’ attack.

Havertz's goal v Wolves

Since Arsenal returned from their winter break in Gameweek 21 last season, he has been involved in 20 goals, scoring 10 and assisting 10. That places Havertz joint-second in Fantasy, along with Erling Haaland (£15.1m), bettered only by the 26 goal involvements of Cole Palmer (£10.5m).

Jeremy Doku (Man City) £6.5m

The winger could prove to be a major weapon for Manchester City’s visit to West Ham United on Saturday.

Stationed on the left wing, Doku's ability to take on opponents has been particularly effective – he has attempted 20 dribbles, at least 13 more than any team-mate.

That skill could prove decisive when assessing the weaknesses in West Ham's defence. Down their right flank, they have conceded nine key passes and 25 crosses  – both those totals are the second-worst in the league.

Contrast that with just 10 crosses conceded down the left and it’s fair to say that Doku may get a lot more joy than his fellow winger Savio (£6.5m) at London Stadium.

Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) £9.0m

After starting the season with back-to-back blanks, the Aston Villa forward is set to embark on a schedule that gives him the chance to get back to his best.

According to the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR), each of Villa’s next four matches score a mere two. That run starts and ends with a visit to a promoted club, with Watkins making his way to both Leicester City and Ipswich Town.

Crucially, the England star was among the very best performers in away matches against promoted clubs last season.

Watkins averaged 12 points per match in those contests, including hauls of 18 points at Sheffield United and 13 points at Luton Town.

Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford) £7.0m

A home meeting with promoted Southampton looks encouraging for the Brentford star’s all-round prospects this weekend.

Mbeumo scored and collected nine points in his first home match of the season against Crystal Palace in Gameweek 1. He has also produced four key passes and created two big chances this season, both more than any team-mate.

Southampton, meanwhile, have conceded seven big chances over the first two Gameweeks – only two sides have allowed more.

Andreas Pereira (Fulham) £5.5m

The Fulham playmaker has been the standout creator in Fantasy at the start of 2024/25.

Although he has failed to collect an assist, Andreas was the top-ranked player for key passes in each of the opening two Gameweeks, producing six against Manchester United and seven against Leicester.

A trip to promoted Ipswich suggests the Brazilian can finally earn his first attacking returns of the season.

The Tractor Boys have allowed 11 big chances over the opening two Gameweeks, four more than any other side.
