Erling Haaland has equalled Cristiano Ronaldo's record for the fewest matches taken to reach a century of goals for a single club.
Haaland's 100th goal in all competitions for Manchester City came in Sunday's match against Arsenal as he opened the scoring after only nine minutes.
It meant Haaland reached the milestone in just 105 Man City appearances since signing from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022. It took Ronaldo 105 appearances to reach 100 goals for Real Madrid after joining the Spanish club from Manchester United.

To put Haaland's achievement into further context, Sergio Aguero, the former Man City striker and the highest-scoring overseas player in Premier League history, with 184 goals, took 158 appearances to score 100 times for the club.
Breakdown of Haaland's 100 goals
Type of goal | Total |

Other | 1 |
Inside box | 94 |

Remarkably, the goal against Arsenal was Haaland's 10th of the Premier League season, double the total of any other player.
In reaching 10 goals in five matches to start the season, he broke a record he already jointly-held with Mick Quinn, the former Coventry City striker. Haaland and Quinn both took six matches to reach 10 goals in 2022/23 and 1992/93 respectively.
Double figures in record time 🔥
