David Raya (£5.6m) is the "set-and-forget" option, meaning a player that you're unlikely to use a transfer on to remove from your squad. I don't currently own him, and with some tricky fixtures coming up for Arsenal, I'll stick with just Gabriel (£6.2m), rather than double up on the defence for now.

Between the sticks for me is Mark Flekken (£4.5m), who hasn't kept a clean sheet all season, so I've been scraping around for the odd save point. It's not been pretty, but the fixtures coming up for Brentford mean that I'll likely stick with him for now.

With three of his next four at home, perhaps Andre Onana (£5.0m) can prove his worth in FPL. With four clean sheets this season and a penalty save to boot, we shouldn't overlook him. Injuries and inconsistent defending in front of him, however, means I'll likely stay away, but the 6.4 per cent owned Man Utd star will likely be a reasonable differential over the coming weeks.

Utkarsh Dalmia (@Zophar_FPL

My top three 'keepers are Raya, Jordan Pickford (£4.8m) and Flekken.

Despite blanks in his last two outings, Raya's still the best long-term option. Everton have an excellent run of fixtures and Pickford has dropped £0.2m from his starting price. Finally, Flekken and Brentford are yet to keep a clean sheet, but have good home match-ups coming up. He's always good for save points and has a high ceiling when he does produce a shutout.

Ben Crabtree (@FC_CrabDogg)

I own Robert Sanchez (£4.7m) and Matz Sels (£4.5m), but Pickford now looks the best pick. Everton are streaky with form and now have good fixtures. My second choice is Raya, who is a solid pick with clean-sheet potential in most matches. Finally, Onana is a bit of a risk at £5.0m, but the current top scorer in any given position should be considered.

Nick Harris (@WGTA_Nick)

I currently own Sanchez, but Raya is my No 1 choice. The Arsenal defence has been solid and he has been putting in strong performances, with plenty of saves.

Sanchez has tough fixtures in the short term, but Chelsea look much improved this season and he should offer good value. Finally,  Pickford always picks up plenty of saves and with Jarrad Branthwaite (£4.8m) coming back, Everton should be more solid at the back as the season progresses.

Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)

I went for Sels on my Gameweek 6 Wildcard and I’m fairly happy with my decision, knowing Nottingham Forest continue to look like a backline worth investing in. My current top three are Pickford, Sels and Raya. Sean Dyche teams will always keep clean sheets, and with good fixtures ahead, Pickford looks like an easy set-and-forget option.

Sels looks the best of the £4.5m options playing for an improving defence under Nuno Espirito Santo. Finally, Raya is the long-term pick. The Spaniard is the goalkeeper I want, but with a tough fixture run in the short term, I prefer the cheaper alternatives.

Pras (@Pras_FPL)

Even with slightly trickier fixtures, I'd lean towards Raya on Wildcard. He's just a long term set-and-forget pick that will deliver 10+ clean sheets over the course of the season. While another 'keeper may come close, it's very hard to identify who. Pickford and Onana currently look like decent alternatives, but those defences don't compare to Arsenal's.

Oscar (@FPLFocal)

I've got Raya in goal and have no plans to change him, despite the lack of clean sheets of late, and despite a few difficult fixtures ahead. I like to view my 'keeper picks over the long term, and I hope to have Raya until whenever I play my second Wildcard much later in the season. I'm expecting Raya to be among the top-scoring 'keepers by the end of the season.

If I was making a goalkeeper transfer, my top three picks would be Raya, Ederson (£5.5m) and Flekken. Raya and Ederson play for elite defences with very good long-term fixtures, while Flekken offers a £1.0m saving and still provides good clean-sheet potential across the upcoming fixtures, plus extra save points. We've seen so many times over the years that those £4.5m 'keepers end up coming out on top due to the save points, even with fewer clean sheets. Pickford from last season is a good recent example.

Az Phillips (@FPLBlackBox_Az)

I'm very happy with Raya as my goalkeeper, despite blanks in his last two games. He remains a great cut-price option into the Arsenal defence and is doing well on the Bonus Points System (BPS) when they keep a clean sheet.

If I was looking elsewhere, I'd go for Pickford, as I expect Everton to start picking up a few more clean sheets once Branthwaite is back. Sels is the next-best option, given impressive underlying defensive stats for Forest and a good run of fixtures.

Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

Goalkeepers haven't yet set the world on fire in terms of clean sheets, but we usually find that as we get further into the season, the clean sheets start to rack up. Raya is still my top pick despite no clean sheets in his last two matches.

Liverpool have kept the most clean sheets this season, and with Alisson (£5.5m) out until the next international break, Caoimhin Kelleher (£4.4m) will be starting in goal for the Reds. He could be a brilliant differential option, currently owned by only 0.8 per cent of managers.

Finally, with Branthwaite due back for Everton, Pickford is my final pick. He also has plenty of save-point potential and has already saved a penalty this season.
