The winners of October 2024's Premier League monthly awards have been revealed!
Wood wins EA SPORTS Player of the Month
Chris Wood has made HISTORY by winning the October 2024 EA SPORTS Player of the Month award.
The 32-year-old has become the first Nottingham Forest player AND the first New Zealander to win the award. And you can lay claim to some of that history by winning a shirt signed by the forward when he received his prize.
Wood was the Premier League's top scorer in October. He scored in all three of his appearances, netting four goals in total to help Forest go unbeaten through the month, drawing at Chelsea, beating Crystal Palace and winning an East Midlands derby at Leicester City.
He topped an eight-man shortlist after the public's votes on the EA SPORTS website were combined with those of a panel of football experts.
"I'm over the moon with it. It's a fantastic achievement," Wood said.
"It's a credit to all of us and how the team's working. I couldn't have done it without them. They supply me with all the chances, so it's nice that I've been able to tuck them away for them."

Wood on fire
Wood has already picked up where he left off in October, scoring in his only November appearance so far as Forest beat West Ham United 3-0 to rise to THIRD in the Premier League table.
He is now the Premier League's second-highest scorer this season, on eight goals, three behind Erling Haaland in the Golden Boot race.
Despite ranking second for goals, his Expected Goals (xG) total of 4.51 is only the 10th-highest of all players, showing how high-quality his finishing has been.
His eight goals have come from just 21 shots, too. No player to have had at least 20 attempts has a better conversion rate than Wood's 38.1%.
Rermarkably, since Nuno Espirito Santo's first match as Nott'm Forest head coach on 23 December 2023, Wood has scored 18 non-penalty goals. That is the joint-highest total of all Premier League players during that period, along with Haaland.
Wood's next match is at home to Newcastle United on Sunday 10 November, when he will have the chance to score in a FIFTH consecutive Premier League match for the first time in his career.

Nuno named Barclays Manager of the Month
Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has been named the October 2024 Barclays Manager of the Month.
It gives Forest a Premier League awards double, after Chris Wood was voted the EA SPORTS Player of the Month.
Nuno wins the award after an unbeaten month, earning seven points from a possible nine. After a 1-1 draw at Chelsea, Nuno's team won back-to-back matches in the Premier League for the first time since December 2023, beating Crystal Palace and winning an East Midlands derby at Leicester City.
The 50-year-old topped a four man shortlist that also included Pep Guardiola, Fabian Hurzeler, and Arne Slot, claiming the award after votes from the public were combined with those of a panel of experts.
He becomes a five-time winner of the award, previously winning it with Wolverhampton Wanderers in September 2018, June 2020 and October 2020, as well as with Tottenham Hotspur in August 2021.
It means only 11 managers in Premier League history have won the award more times than he has, with Nuno now level with Carlo Ancelotti, Eddie Howe, Kevin Keegan and Claudio Ranieri.

Jackson wins Goal of the Month
Nicolas Jackson has won October 2024's Goal of the Month award for his strike in Chelsea's 2-1 victory against Newcastle United.
Jackson scored after an incredible move that started deep inside Chelsea's half. Cole Palmer played an incredible, defence-splitting past from just outside his own box that released Pedro Neto, who beat a challenge and passed across goal for Jackson to complete a lightning-quick counter-attacking move.

It means Jackson wins a Premier League monthly award for the first time, while it is the second time this season a Chelsea player has won the Goal of the Month award, after Palmer claimed August's prize for his wonderful lob against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Chelsea have now won three of the last four Goal of the Month awards, and have won it nine times since it was introduced in 2016/17, second only to the 10 of Manchester United.
Jackson's goal topped a shortlist of eight of the best in October after votes from the public were combined with those of a panel of experts.

Sanchez wins Save of the Month
Robert Sanchez's superb reaction stop to deny Nottingham Forest's Jota Silva a last-gasp winner has won October 2024's Premier League Save of the Month award.
Chelsea and Forest were locked at 1-1 as the match at Stamford Bridge entered the 13th minute of stoppage time when Ola Aina whipped in a cross and Silva's downward header was heading for the bottom corner until goalkeeper Sanchez flung himself low to his right, getting a hand to the ball to palm it away for a corner.

It is the second time the 26-year-old Spaniard has won the award, having also claimed the September 2023 prize for his acrobatic stop to deny Aston Villa's Nicolo Zaniolo.
No goalkeeper has won the award more times than Sanchez since it was introduced in 2022/23, with his two wins level with Nick Pope, Jordan Pickford, Aaron Ramsdale and Andre Onana. Chelsea have won the award three times in that time, also the joint-most, along with Arsenal and Manchester United.
Sanchez claims October's prize after votes from the public were combined with those of a panel of experts, topping a shortlist featuring six stunning stops by goalkeepers across the month.
