The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts give their thoughts on who to captain in Gameweek 11 ahead of the deadline at 13:30 GMT on Saturday 9 November.
Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
With only two blanks in the first 10 Gameweeks, including six double-digit hauls, I'm kicking myself that I didn't have Mohamed Salah (£12.8m) from the outset this season. Better late than never though. I'll be transferring him in and captaining him this week.
Az Phillips (@FPLBlackBox_Az)
Recent form suggests Salah but I am swayed by the performance of Dominic Solanke (£7.7m) against Aston Villa last weekend. Over the last six Gameweeks, his next opponents Ipswich Town sit rock bottom for Expected Goals (xG) conceded, with 14.48, whereas Spurs have put up the highest xG figure in the league, with 14.55. It feels like a complete mismatch, and Solanke's 16-pointer against Villa couldn't have come at a better time to restore some confidence in Spurs' No 9.
Utkarsh Dalmia (@Zophar_FPL)
I think Tottenham Hotspur have the fixture with the highest upside this weekend. Both Son Heung-min (£9.9m) and Solanke are great picks, while Brennan Johnson (£6.7m) is also worth a shout.
Ben Crabtree (@FC_CrabDogg)
I'm torn between Bruno Fernandes (£8.2m) and Solanke, which is a strange position to be in. Manchester City and Erling Haaland's (£15.3m) recent form have opened up other options.
Holly Shand (@HollyShand)
Solanke is a tempting captain pick but I think I'll leave the armband on Salah after bringing him in last week. He's the most consistent performer in the league this season.
Nick Harris (@WGTA_Nick)
Salah worked for me last Gameweek and I will likely keep the armband on him as I can see him and Liverpool maintaining their form in front of goal despite the subjectively harder fixture against Aston Villa.
Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)
Spurs have scored the most goals and recorded the highest XG of all teams this season, and the fixture match-up is too good to refuse. The only thing that puts me off captaining a Spurs attacker is their trip to Turkey on Thursday night. I am hoping for mass rotation in Europe and a rest for Solanke. If he gets one, he will be my captain on Sunday.
Pras (@Pras_FPL)
I think Spurs have the best fixture on paper, but Son's substitution in the 55th minute of the last league match puts me off. After that it's close between Salah and Haaland. I'd lean towards Salah purely due to his recent form.
Harry Daniels (@FPL_Harry)
Captaincy is wide open this week, with lots of good options. Haaland and Salah will get the headlines, and for good reasons, but Bryan Mbeumo (£7.9m), Matheus Cunha (£6.7m), Son and Solanke should also be considered amongst the more highly-owned picks. Personally I don't own Haaland so I'm on Salah again!
Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
I'm torn this week. I'll be at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday to watch Solanke face Ipswich. I would be tempted by Johnson if I owned him too, as Ipswich are conceding most of their chances and crosses from his side of the pitch. However, Salah's form stands out, especially at home against a Villa defence who have been leaky this season and had an away match in the UEFA Champions League the night after Liverpool played at home. I'm on Salah right now, but it could easily be Solanke by the deadline.
