The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts give their thoughts on who to captain in Gameweek 12 ahead of the deadline at 11:00 GMT on Saturday 23 November.

Assuming Palmer is fit, I like his fixture against Leicester, despite it being away from home. But I might be tempted to switch to Alexander Isak (£8.5m), who faces West Ham at home.

Southampton love to play out from the back, which is admirable, but Liverpool are the masters of setting traps, pressing high and winning the ball back in dangerous areas. I expect Mohamed Salah (£12.9m) to benefit - and with the Egyptian averaging nearly 10 points per match, he'll get my armband. I may even the Triple-Captain him!
Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)
I don't own Salah, so Liverpool's trip to Southampton will be uncomfortable viewing for me. But there are plenty of other good options this week that could outscore the Egyptian. I own Bruno Fernandes (£8.4m), Cole Palmer (£10.9m) and Erling Haaland (£15.2m) and will likely back Haaland, who has a home fixture against a poor Spurs defence. The Norwegian may have been underperforming his expected data of late, but with Kevin De Bruyne (£9.4m) back fit and after scoring four goals over the international break, Haaland could be back to his usual goalscoring rhythm.
Utkarsh Dalmia (@Zophar_FPL)
Salah has had the international break off and plays a Southampton side that could be without injured duo Aaron Ramsdale (£4.4m) and Jan Bednarek (£4.0m) this weekend, so he would be my top pick. It's close between Haaland and Palmer for second spot, but I'd give the edge to Haaland, given he has the home fixture.
Oscar (@FPLFocal)
I'll be captaining Salah. Southampton rank second-worst for Expected Goals Against (xGA) this season, while the Liverpool star is also well rested and potentially facing a Saints side without their injured goalkeeper in Ramsdale. Salah has already racked up seven double-digit returns over the opening 11 Gameweeks, which is incredible given he only managed nine over the whole of last season.
Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
I am really torn this week. Salah at Southampton looks a great option based on how many double-digit hauls he's produced already this season. I also really like Fernandes for Man Utd's trip to Ipswich, on the back of his 17-point return in Gameweek 11. But I am likely to give the fresh Salah the armband.
Nick Harris (@WGTA_Nick)
There is only one captain pick for me this week and that is Salah. He has both the form and the fixture, making him the clear pick.
