The Scout is tipping five players for big success in Gameweek 20 of 2024/25 Fantasy Premier League ahead of the deadline at 11:00 GMT on Saturday 4 January.

Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest) £6.4m

Only one of Nottingham Forest's next six fixtures scores higher than three in the FDR.

Their favourable run begins with a Gameweek 20 trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers, whose total of 42 goals conceded is the joint-worst in the division.

Gibbs-White is making a good case for investment in Fantasy.

The England international has delivered five attacking returns in as many Gameweeks for high-flying Forest.

Over that time, his total of 2.70 Expected Goal Involvements (xGI) is double that of any other Forest player.

Only six Premier League midfielders can better that figure across Gameweeks 15-19.

Timothy Castagne (Fulham) £4.2m

An injury to Kenny Tete (£4.5m) has presented Castagne with the chance of a sustained run in the Fulham side.

The attack-minded Castagne has already contributed a clean sheet and an assist in his three starts since Tete was sidelined.

Over the last three Gameweeks, only three defenders can beat the Belgian's tally of nine penalty-box touches.

The hope is that he can replicate Tete's underlying numbers from right-back. Castagne's positional rival managed to rack up 18 shots in Gameweeks 1-15, ranking third for goal attempts among defenders.

The Gameweek 20 visit of Ipswich Town is the first of three matches for the Cottagers that score just two in the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR).

Josko Gvardiol (Man City) £6.0m

Manchester City will be hoping that last Sunday's 2-0 victory over Leicester City sparks an upturn in form.

Even throughout the champions' recent slump, Gvardiol has continued to catch the eye going forward.

As well as being the leading defender for goals scored in 2024/25, with four, he's also top for goal attempts (28), shots in the box (23) and penalty-area touches, with 62.

There's a good chance for returns at both ends of the pitch in Gameweek 20.

Opponents West Ham United have conceded more chances down their right flank - where Gvardiol operates on City's left - than any other team this season.

Meanwhile, the Hammers will be without injured talisman Jarrod Bowen (£7.5m), potentially boosting City's prospects of a clean sheet.

Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford) £7.7m

Mbeumo has made light of a tricky recent run of fixtures for Brentford.

Despite only facing sides in the top half over the last six Gameweeks, he's ticked over with three goals and an assist.

Now, the Cameroon international gets to face bottom side Southampton in Gameweek 20.

Mbeumo scored a brace against Saints in the reverse fixture back in August.

No midfielder under £10.0m can better Mbeumo's totals of 13 attacking returns and 117 points in 2024/25 Fantasy.

Having seen his ownership drop by around 1.5million since the November international break to 29 per cent, the winger is making a serious case for reinvestment.

Nicolas Jackson (Chelsea) £8.2m

Gameweek 19 was a welcome milestone for Jackson, who had been sitting on four bookings for the best part of two months.

After Monday's defeat to Ipswich Town, the yellow card threshold was lifted to 10 for teams that have played 19 matches this season - so one more caution now won't result in a one-match suspension.

Rested at Portman Road as part of Enzo Maresca's regular rotation in busy periods, Jackson should now return to his manager's starting XI for Saturday's trip to Crystal Palace.

The forward has fond memories of facing the Eagles, having scored against Oliver Glasner's side in Gameweek 3.

Jackson is the second most-sold forward of Gameweek 20, likely influenced by his benching earlier this week.

But his underlying numbers remain strong; he has registered 18 shots over the last six matches, ranking second among forwards.
