Harry Howell has been named the Premier League 2 (PL2) Player of the Month for December.
The 16-year-old, who is the cousin of Brighton & Hove Albion defender Jack Hinshelwood, netted a hat-trick and provided an assist in the Seagulls' 5-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
Howell struck twice in the first half, coolly converting a penalty before rifling a shot into the top-right corner. He completed his treble with another composed spot-kick, sending Spurs goalkeeper Luca Gunter the wrong way.

Since his promotion to PL2 in August 2024, Howell has seamlessly adjusted to the step up. In nine appearances, he has had eight goal involvements, netting seven and assisting one.
Shannon Ruth, head coach for Brighton's PL2 side, told the club's official website: "Harry has adjusted really well to under-21s football this season and it's great to see that reflected with this award.
"He has been an important player for us and we're looking forward to seeing him continue to develop for us in the second half of the campaign."
Howell, who is the youngest winner of the PL2 Player of the Month award this season, topped a shortlist of eight candidates that was selected by the Premier League's Football Development Panel.
