The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts give their thoughts on who to captain in Gameweek 22 ahead of the deadline at 11:00 GMT on Saturday 18 January.
Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
There are four or five genuine captaincy contenders this week. Mohamed Salah (£13.8m) has only blanked in three matches this season and registered a 10-point haul in the reverse of his fixture against Brentford.
Chris Wood (£6.9m) has scored in all of his last three matches and faces a Southampton team who have conceded 47 goals this season.
Alexander Isak (£9.4m) has scored in eight games in a row and produced bonus points in every match since Gameweek 14, while Erling Haaland (£14.8m) and Cole Palmer (£11.4m) have attractive fixtures, against Ipswich Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively.
I am backing Wood at the moment, but it could easily be Isak or Salah by Saturday's deadline.

Gameweek 22 sees Palmer, Salah and Isak all remain the best options. Personally, I will not be captaining Isak against a strong AFC Bournemouth team. Palmer is playing a Wolves side struggling with defensive injuries, but I can't look past Salah, who has blanked just three times this season!
Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
Despite the blank against Nottingham Forest, I'm backing Salah to get back to doing what he does best. Brentford, at the Gtech Community Stadium, won't sit in and play counter-attack football in the same way Forest did in midweek, so I expect Liverpool and Salah to find more space in behind and in dangerous areas.

Brentford have conceded 21 goals in 11 home matches, failing to keep a single clean sheet. I like the match-up for Liverpool more than I do for Isak this week, which is why I'm leaning towards going with Salah. Meanwhile, Palmer has had just seven shots in the box over the last six Gameweeks, which is putting me off him.
Ben Crabtree (@FC_CrabDogg)
Isak is on fire at the moment. There are good options this week, but he feels the safest bet for attacking returns.
Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)
Palmer and Chelsea have the extra rest ahead of facing Wolves on Monday night, and after seeing the Blues create bundles of chances against Bournemouth, I expect a similar performance. Palmer is central to most attacks and his confidence is as high as ever. As things stand, I'm giving him the armband, but I'm not ruling out a late switch.
Pras (@Pras_FPL)
In what is becoming a theme, the captaincy is again a close call between Salah, Palmer and Isak.
From a fixture point of view, I like Palmer the most - we saw what Newcastle just did to a Wolves side who are again playing away from home. Palmer also will have the extra rest and no worries about any European commitments, which isn't the case with Salah, with Liverpool taking on Lille in the UEFA Champions League next Tuesday.
I am leaning towards Palmer, but the Liverpool star is a close second.
