The new Assistant Manager chip can be a GAME-CHANGER in 2024/25 Fantasy Premier League, providing the opportunity to help beat your rivals, swing mini-leagues or revive your season.

Fantasy Managers who use the FPL app should check they have the latest version of the app, or download the latest version, to ensure they can use the chip.

By using the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR) and keeping an eye on the Premier League table, you can identify the best spell of three consecutive Gameweeks to earn HUGE points.

There are two tactics to consider when the chip becomes available in Double Gameweek 24.

You could back one of the managers from the top clubs against a series of lower-ranked opponents. This is the safer option, albeit one with less potential to score BIG.

Alternatively, you can adopt the high-risk, high-reward strategy of picking a manager from a team lower down the league and look for winnable matches against sides who are ranked at least five places higher, targeting "table bonus".

Remember, you can move between Assistant Managers during the three Gameweeks when you have the chip active, buying and selling them just like players - but let's keep it simple and focus on the best time to pick just one manager!

Best fixtures for top clubs

Liverpool, GW30-32
There’s a reason why you have to pay a premium price for Liverpool’s Arne Slot (£1.5m). Not only does his total of 173 points make the Dutchman the top-scoring manager, it places him second only to the 214 points of Mohamed Salah (£13.7m) this season. Home matches against Everton and West Ham United and a visit to Fulham over Gameweeks 30-32 offer the Reds boss the chance of more wins and goals, as well as clean sheets.

30 Everton (H) 2
31 Fulham (A) 3
32 West Ham (H) 2

Chelsea, GW26-28
Back-to-back home matches against promoted pair Southampton and Leicester City is the big draw here for Enzo Maresca (£1.5m). You'd expect the Chelsea head coach to reward you with both wins and goals aplenty in those Stamford Bridge encounters – bringing the Italian in alongside Cole Palmer (£11.4m) could be a great option if you can’t afford Nicolas Jackson (£7.9m) or would rather overlook him.

26 Aston Villa (A) 4

28 Leicester (H) 2
Target table-bonus wins instead?

Spurs, GW27-29
Tottenham Hotspur currently sit in 15th place, which means Ange Postecoglou (£1.1m) would collect table bonus for a win or draw in their three matches across Gameweeks 27-29 as the table stands right now. Spurs have scored 26 goals at home this season – the second-most in the league - showing the potential on offer from their home matches against Manchester City and AFC Bournemouth, in particular.

27 Man City (H) 4 5th
28 Bournemouth (H) 3 7th
29 Fulham (A) 3 10th

Everton, GW31-33
The Toffees have been quick to profit from the “new manager bounce” following the recent return of David Moyes, with a 3-2 win over Spurs indicative of their improving form. Despite their win last weekend, the Toffees still sit in 16th place. By contrast, each of their opponents across Gameweeks 31-33 - Arsenal, Nottingham Forest and Man City - are all among the top five, giving Moyes the chance to hoover up table bonus.

31 Arsenal (H) 4 2nd
32 Nottingham Forest (A) 3 3rd
33 Man City (H) 4 5th
