David Brooks' brilliant volley against Everton has been voted as January 2025's Guinness Goal of the Month, giving AFC Bournemouth a Premier League awards TREBLE.
Brooks' win comes after Justin Kluivert claimed the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award and Andoni Iraola won the Barclays Manager of the Month prize.
Bournemouth are just the third team to win all three awards in the same month. Manchester United did so in November 2023 with Harry Maguire, Erik ten Hag and Alejandro Garnacho, while Newcastle United were the first to do it, with Miguel Almiron and Eddie Howe in October 2022. Almiron won both the Player and Goal of the Month awards.
Brooks' goal was a 77th-minute winner, with the midfielder expertly volleying in from Milos Kerkez’s cross after coming off the bench just a few minutes earlier.
“It was nice to see it fly in. Six or seven times you see them spoon over the bar!" Brooks told Bournemouth's official website.
The Wales international wins a Premier League monthly award for the first time and becomes only the third Bournemouth player to win a Guinness Goal of the Month award, after Jermain Defoe in December 2017 and Charlie Daniels in August 2017.
Brooks' effort topped an eight-goal shortlist that also included two goals from team-mate Kluivert after the public's votes were combined with those of a panel of football experts.
