If you still have your Triple Captain chip to play in 2024/25 Fantasy Premier League, now is the time to use it on Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah (£13.7m).
The Reds and Aston Villa are the only two clubs who have a Double Gameweek 25 (DGW25), with Liverpool hosting Wolverhampton Wanderers before visiting Villa.
The Egyptian’s credentials could barely be any stronger. In his eighth season at Anfield, Salah is enjoying his best start to a campaign in Fantasy, amassing 251 points in 24 appearances under Arne Slot.
Salah also approaches DGW25 on the back of 16 and 13-point hauls across his two matches against AFC Bournemouth and Everton in Double Gameweek 24 (DGW24).
Essentially, he rewarded the 1m+ managers who Triple-Captained him with a MASSIVE 87-point return!
Salah’s output in his previous meetings with his DGW25 opponents this season further enhance his appeal, delivering 10 points against Wolves and 14 points against Villa.
Neither of those clubs have performed well defensively this season. Wolves have a single clean sheet in 12 road trips, while Villa have only two clean sheets in 12 home matches.
Is this Salah's last Double Gameweek of the season?
Crucially, Liverpool’s early exit from the FA Cup means they are very unlikely to get any more Double Gameweeks this season.
The Reds’ Gameweek 34 fixture against Tottenham Hotspur is one of only two matches confirmed to go ahead in Blank Gameweek 34, as Spurs have also been knocked out of the FA Cup.
Fantasy managers must remember, though, that if you currently have your Assistant Manager chip active, you CANNOT use the Triple Captain chip because you can only play ONE chip in any given Gameweek.
By activating the Assistant Manager chip on either Arne Slot (£1.5m) or Unai Emery (£0.8m) in DGW25 instead, you can profit from four matches across a three-Gameweek period.
