Managers in Fantasy Premier League have a new Double Gameweek to plan for, with Newcastle United's home fixture against Crystal Palace being rescheduled for Wednesday 16 April.
The match has been moved due to Newcastle's involvement in the EFL Cup final, where they will face Liverpool on Sunday 16 March.
This means that Newcastle and Crystal Palace will both have a DGW32, with the Magpies hosting Manchester United four days before the visit of Palace.
Palace, meanwhile, will have two away trips, travelling to Manchester City on Saturday 12 April before heading to St James' Park.

Heading into Double Gameweek 25, Newcastle stars make up three of the top four most-sold players ahead of Friday's 18:30 GMT deadline.
Anthony Gordon (£7.6m), Lewis Hall (£5.1m) and Alexander Isak (£9.5m) are being transferred out in considerable numbers, with many Fantasy managers likely having an eye on Newcastle's tricky short-term fixtures and their Blank Gameweek 29.

Time to use a chip?
If you still have your Triple Captain chip available, DGW32 could be a great time to play it. Isak has two home fixtures which could provide a good opportunity to produce big points hauls.
Isak has registered 152 points so far this season, with only three players bettering the Swede's total.
The Newcastle star is enjoying a fruitful season. His 22 attacking returns are more than any other forward in 2024/25 Fantasy.
Alternatively, you could use the new Assistant Manager chip on Eddie Howe (£1.5m) or Oliver Glasner (£0.8m) instead.
This would allow you to combine the points from FOUR matches over three Gameweeks, instead of the usual three matches that you get with the chip.
The Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR) for Newcastle and Howe suggests the chip could be played either across Gameweeks 30-32 or from Gameweeks 32-34.
Best three-Gameweek blocks for Howe
Gameweek | Opp. | FDR |
---|---|---|
30 | Brentford (H) | 2 |
31 | Leicester (A) | 2 |
32 | Man Utd (H), Palace (H) | 3,3 |

---|---|---|
32 | Man Utd (H), Palace (H) | 3,3 |
33 | Aston Villa (A) | 3 |
34 | Ipswich (H) | 2 |
The best run including DGW32 for Glasner is playing the chip across Gameweeks 30-32 to include the easier fixtures in the FDR. Alternatively, you could play the chip from Gameweeks 32-34 to target potential table bonus.
Best three-Gameweek blocks for Glasner
Gameweek | Opp. | FDR |
---|---|---|
30 | Southampton (A) | 2 |
31 | Brighton (H) | 3 |
32 | Man City (A), Newcastle (A) | 4,4 |

32 | Man City (A), Newcastle (A) | 4,4 |
33 | Bournemouth (H) | 3 |
34 | Arsenal (A) | 4 |
Howe is the fourth highest-scoring Assistant Manager across a three-match block. He has scored 175 points this season, which ranks joint-third.
Glasner is close behind in fifth place over a three-match block, with his 166 points placing him seventh overall.
Manager | Season pts | Best three-Gameweek block |
---|---|---|
David Moyes (EVE) | 156 | 50 |
Andoni Iraola (BOU) | 175 | 47 |
Vitor Pereira (WOL) | 129 | 41 |
Eddie Howe (NEW) | 175 | 39 |
Oliver Glasner (CRY) | 166 | 38 |
Remember, you can change your Assistant Manager between Gameweeks during the period when the chip is active using a normal transfer.
Fantasy managers who have sold their Newcastle players with one eye on BGW29 will now need a plan to get them back for DGW32.
Using the Wildcard in Gameweek 30 would allow managers who sold their Newcastle and Palace players to reinvest ahead of both clubs' DGW32.
Who to buy from Newcastle?
With 58 per cent of managers already invested in Isak, doubling or trebling up on Newcastle assets looks a wise strategy.
Gordon is likely to be a key pick for DGW32. The midfielder has registered six goals and six assists so far this season. The England international produced two assists across the reverse fixtures against Palace and Man Utd earlier this season.
Hall has been Newcastle's standout defender in Fantasy this season. He has created 30 chances, helping him rack up five assists, while he has also kept eight clean sheets.
Who to buy from Palace?
Forward Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.3m) is Palace's highest-scoring player in FPL this season, with 103 points. The Frenchman, who is the Eagles' penalty-taker, has scored 10 goals and registered an assist across his 22 starts.
Daniel Munoz (£4.8m) is also having an impressive season. The defender has returned 88 points this season, producing seven clean sheets and six attacking returns. Munoz impressively averaged nine points per match over the reverse fixtures against DGW32 opponents Man City and Newcastle.
Midfielder Eberechi Eze (£6.7m) is also likely to be a popular pick. He has created 42 chances this season, more than any other Palace player.
