"We need another title. Me and the big guys in the team, we need another title," Salah told Sky Sports after the win over City.

"It is incredible. It is a very hard place to come and play here. They are a tough team and they have an incredible manager I am glad in the end we won the game. It is special. Especially when you are in the title race, it is incredible.

"Hopefully we keep calm because sometimes the pressure gets to us. We try to win each game."

'Salah is on a different world right now'

It was another record-breaking afternoon for Salah, including becoming the FIRST player in Premier League history to score AND assist in both matches against the reigning champions in a season.

His performance was praised by both team-mate Andrew Robertson and head coach Arne Slot.

"I can't be bothered talking about him to be honest! No, he's been unbelievable," Robertson said on BBC's Match of the Day.

"His work-rate going back the other way was unbelievable today, him and Lucho [Diaz] and that was key to us keeping a clean sheet.

"He is on a different world right now and playing out of his skin. We are very happy to have him, that's for sure."

Slot highlighted Salah's incredible form and his ability to produce special moments.

"Today there weren’t that many moments we could bring him in promising positions, but these seven, eight, nine or 10 moments that we gave him the ball in those positions he was every time a threat and that probably tells you even more the quality player he is, because it’s not so easy for an attacker if he has to defend, defend, defend," Slot told the club's official website.

"And then he gets the ball and does something special, that’s sometimes difficult but at the moment not many things seem difficult for Mo."

Squad depth the difference between Liverpool and Arsenal

After their 1-0 loss at home to West Ham United on Saturday ended their 15-match unbeaten run, Arsenal's hopes of a first Premier League title since 2004 suffered a major setback.

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes the absence of several key players is just too much for the Gunners to deal with.

"If Arsenal had a fully fit team there would probably be very little in it – if they played in a cup final it would be a toss of a coin," Carragher told Sky Sports.

"But Arsenal aren’t good enough, they’ve got Mikel Merino up front – you can’t win the league with that. There is no one catching Liverpool."
