Matheus Cunha has been handed an additional one-match suspension by The FA for acting in an improper manner after his sending-off against AFC Bournemouth in the FA Cup on Saturday 1 March.
As a result of the red card for violent conduct at Bournemouth, the Wolverhampton Wanderers forward was handed a three-match ban. He has missed two matches of that suspension, the draw against Everton at Molineux on 8 March and the 2-1 win at Southampton a week later.
Those results have meant that Wolves are nine points clear of the relegation zone.
Now, as a result of The FA's additional ban, Cunha will miss the home match with West Ham United on 1 April and now the trip to Ipswich Town on 5 April.
An FA statement read: "The Wolverhampton Wanderers forward was charged with acting in an improper manner after he was sent off around the 121st minute of their FA Cup tie against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday 1st March.
"The player subsequently admitted the charge. The Regulatory Commission imposed his sanctions following a hearing, and its written reasons for them will be published in due course.
"Matheus Cunha will now be suspended from domestic football until Sunday 13th April."
Cunha, who is Wolves' top scorer with 13 goals this season, could make his return for Wolves on Sunday 13 April against Tottenham Hotspur.
