Brighton & Hove Albion have agreed to sign English winger Tom Watson from Sunderland when the summer transfer window opens.
The 18-year-old winger, who turns 19 next week, joins on a deal until June 2029.
What was said about him?
"Tommy is an exciting young talent who we have been tracking for a significant period of time," Brighton technical director David Weir said on the club's official website.
"He's had an excellent breakthrough season with Sunderland, and we are looking forward to him joining us in the summer. However, for now his full focus is on helping them finish their season as strongly as possible."
Who is Watson?
Watson came through the Sunderland academy and represented the club at Under-18 and U21 level before making his first-team debut in April 2023.
He has gone on to make 17 appearances for the senior side, scoring twice.
Watson has also represented England at U17 and U18 levels and made his debut for the U18 side in October 2023.
