Ahead of the start of the season we continue our look at 10 things new to the Premier League for 2017/18.

Friday start

The 2017/18 Premier League season will kick-off on a Friday evening for the first time in top-flight history.

Arsenal and Leicester City will usher in the new campaign at Emirates Stadium on Friday evening (7.45pm BST).

Friday night matches were introduced to the PL last season, but this will be the first occasion the opening encounter does not take place on a Saturday.

The PL's subsequent Friday fixture will be AFC Bournemouth v Brighton & Hove Albion on 15 September.
