Leicester City missed the chance to cut the gap on Division 1 leaders Liverpool to one point as they were held to a goalless draw by Manchester City at Holmes Park.

Man City's Matt Smith thought he had broken the deadlock midway through the second half but his effort was ruled out for offside.

Leicester's Josh Gordon then had a late effort cleared off the line by Ed Francis.

Leicester remain unbeaten since September but are three points behind Liverpool, having played one more match, and a point above Arsenal.

Man City moved up to seventh, five points above the relegation places.
