Harry Kane (£12.9m) has been toppled as the top Fantasy Premier League captain pick of late, but managers may be tempted to favour the Tottenham Hotspur striker for Gameweek 29.
Mohamed Salah (£10.5m) has been the most popular pick for the armband in each of the past two Gameweeks.
And the Liverpool star rewarded the 1.6million managers who captained him last weekend with a 10-point return against West Ham United.
That was the Egyptian’s third successive double-digit return and 13th of the season.
But Kane is set to face a Huddersfield Town side against whom he scored twice in Gameweek 7.
Furthermore, David Wagner’s men arrive at Wembley Stadium with only one clean sheet from their last 12 matches.
Over the last four Gameweeks, Kane has fired 23 shots, 18 shots in the box and 10 shots on target; more than any player on all three counts.
Liverpool trio to prosper?
Managers should note, however, Salah has outscored Kane over the last four Gameweeks.
His 46 points are a lot more than the Spurs striker’s 18 over that period.
But if managers insist on keeping their armband on a Liverpool player, it does not have to be Salah.
Roberto Firmino (£9.3m) and Sadio Mane (£9.4m) are also in form and can profit at home to Newcastle United.
Firmino has four goals and two assists in six Gameweeks, while Mane has netted four times in his last two appearances in all competitions.
