Southampton manager Mark Hughes is expecting his side to bounce back from adversity with an improved performance against Arsenal on Sunday.
Saints visit Emirates Stadium following a 4-1 defeat at West Ham United that left them in the bottom three but Hughes has been evaluating which players should take the fight to the Gunners in the 14:15 BST kick-off.
"Sometimes confidence can affect people in different ways,” Hughes told Southampton’s official website. "You’ve got to be able to be strong mentally and physically to compete at this level.
“They’re good players here and technically they are excellent but you need other elements in your make up to be able to get through situations that will test you."
